WWE 2K18‘s newest character is no wrestler but he definitely won’t chicken out when fighting the pro wrestlers. KFC’s own Colonel Sanders will be playable in the latest installment of WWE’s video game.
The news was announced during a stunt at WWE’s Hell in a Cel” pay-per-view event wherein Kurt Angle dressed up as the Colonel and went up against WWE Superstar Heath Slater, who was dressed as the Colonel’s arch-rival, Puppers Cluckers Chicken.
The WWE 2K series is a top-seller every year. This bit of cross-promotion could help KFC reach that audience of wrestling and gaming fans. KFC and WWE have had an advertising partnership for a while now, with wrestlers like Dolph Ziggler dressing up as the Colonel for ads played during WWE shows.
The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Oct. 17, with a Switch release arriving closer to the end of 2017.
