The Return of the Necromancer
Blizzard has finally announced that the Rise of the Necromancer pack for Diablo 3 will be released next week. The Necromancer is a fan favorite character from the classic Diablo games whose return has been expected by avid gamers.
The titular character is a dark sorcerer or a Priest who can summon and command an army of undead minions. Its spells can also summon and control various creatures.
The Rise of the Necromancer add-on for Diablo III is coming digitally to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on June 27 for $14.99. The add-on comes with a new class, the famed Necromancer, along with two character slots, a new golem pet, and new cosmetic wings.
In addition, Blizzard will release a new digital edition of the game for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Diablo 3: Eternal Collection contains the Reaper of Souls expansion and Rise of the Necromancer. It will be available digitally. PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold members can get the game for a limited time special introductory price of $39.99 instead of the standard $59.99.
Next Patch is Coming for Diablo 3
Along with Rise of the Necromancer and Eternal Collection, patch 2.6.0 is also coming for Diablo 3. The patch includes the Challenge Rifts, The Shrouded Moors zone and the Temple of the Firstborn zone. This is free content for those who own the Reaper of Souls expansion pack.
To create a Challenge Rift, we pull a Greater Rift run directly from a player’s account. Once they have that snapshot, they make that exact character, including their items, levels, skills, and gear. If you’re able to beat the time, you’ll be awarded Blood Shards and crafting materials. These rewards will only be given once. But you can continue playing the Challenge Rifts as much as you want.
The two new zones, The Shrouded Moors and Temple of the Firstborn, are currently accessible through new waypoints in Act II in Adventure Mode. In the current beta build, you can run bounties in these zones. Players can also freely explore them like any other area in Adventure Mode.
