EA will bring The Sims 4 to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this November. This would be the first time that The Sims franchise would see a console release in seven years. Launched on Windows PC back in 2014, The Sims 4 will be the first console release for the main franchise since The Sims 3 launched on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the Wii back in 2010.
The Standard Edition will be released on November 17. But for those who cannot wait to play, ordering the Deluxe Party Pack will give you up to three days of early access. Those who purchase the Deluxe Edition will also get a few bonus goodies such as:
- Life of the Party – Includes flaming tiki bar and sleek, stylized outfits for your Sims.
- Up All Night – Includes laser light show, fun decorations, and outrageous party costumes.
- Awesome Animal Hats – A collection of fun animal hats for your Sims to wear and show off.
Subscribers of EA Access on Xbox One can play The Sims 4 for free as early as November 9. Their progress will carry over to the main game should they choose to purchase the full title.
EA will deliver periodic game updates and additional content releases after launch. Those who pre-order the game will get the “Perfect Patio Stuff” pack that includes outdoor hot tubs for Sim living, among other things.
The Sims 4 is the fourth major title in the life simulation video game series The Sims. The games in the franchise were developed by Maxis and The Sims Studio and published by Electronic Arts. The upcoming title has the same concept as its predecessor, The Sims 3, where players control their characters (called Sims) to perform various life activities and form relationships.
