Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom will not make its planned 2017 release, but this did not stop publisher Bandai Namco from announcing three planned release editions.
The Day One Edition will include the base game, a Special Sword Set DLC that will allow you to access a Jade Katana, Siren’s Sabre, Cloudcutter, The Bleeding Edge, and Greenling Glaive. It will retail for $59.99
On the other hand, the Premium Edition contains everything from Day One Edition plus a steelbook case, a 3D papercraft kit, an exclusive Dragon’s Tooth sword, and a CD music collection for the price of $79.99
Lastly, the Ni No Kuni II: Collector’s Edition comes with the game, the season pass, a “making of” feature on Blu-ray, an art book, a Chibi diorama, a Lofty plus, 3D Papercraft with a Papercraft display case, a soundtrack CD, and a steelbook case for $200.
The season pass itself remains a bit of a mystery other than the fact the game will have two post-launch expansions. Priced at $20, it will include two unspecified “large” DLC drops down the line and extra items. It is unexpected as the original Ni No Kuni did not have a season pass and was generous with its post-game content.
In North America, the above special editions are only available for the PlayStation 4 version of the game. If you want it on PC here, the digital download is the only method available right now.
