Earlier today, news broke that the anime hit One Punch Man will be changing both its production company and director. J.C Staff Production will now oversee the anime’s second season with the direction of Chikara Sakurai. The series was originally handled by Madhouse studio with Shingo Natsume directing the first season.
The update confirmed Chikashi Kubota would return as the show’s character designer while Tomohiro Suzuki will do the series composition. Makoto Miyazaki will be in charge of music while Shoji Hata will take over as sound director.
As for its cast, One Punch Man will bring back its original talent. Saitama will still be voiced by Makoto Furukawa and Genos by Kaito Ishikawa.
Madhouse released season one back in 2015 and it was a big hit. That studio has an impressive resume, animating some of the most iconic modern anime, such as Perfect Blue, Death Note, and Paprika.
Season 2 of One-Punch Man went into production earlier this year but it is still not clear when the show will air.
